Gradient Definition

Gradient definition:- an inclined part of a road or railway; a slope.

It is the rate of rising or fall of road level along its length. It is expressed either as the rate of rising or fall to the horizontal distance or as percentage rise or fall.

आसान भाषा मे यदि लिखा है की gradient 1 in 10 तो इसका मतलब है 10 meter  आगे चलने मे 1 meter का down मिलेगा । अब यह तो हो गई आसान भाषा मे अब बात की जाय इसे डिग्री में कैसे convert कैसे किया जाय ।

तो इसके 2 तरीके हैं:-

•  एक simple और approxy answer मिलता है ।
• एक थोड़ा hard और accurate

1st method

 इसमे आपको एक अंक 56 याद रखना होगा और जो भी gradient निकालना हो उससे भाग दे देना है ।

जैसे :- 1 in 6 का निकालना है तो 56/6= 9 degree approxy

इसी तरह 1 in 3  56/3 = 18 degree approxy

इसी तरह मोटा मोटा तो idea हो जायगा degree का

2^nd method

Gradient Diagram 

इसमे आपको 6 in 1 gradient को mathematically accurate कैसे degree में convert कर के बताएँगे । 

जैसे 6 in 1 gradient यानि 6 meters आगे चलने पर 1 meter down जाता हैं ।

tan θ    = लंब / आधार 

tan θ     =      1/6        

               tan θ      =     0.16666              

         degree  =  tan-1 ( 0.16666)

     degree  =    9.4586      

    

और यदि 1st वाली method से यदि इसे करें तो 

degree  =   56/6

degree   =  9      

जो की लगभग सही है , यदि आपको मोटा idea चाहिए तो 1st method use कर सकते हैं, accuracy चाहिए तो आप 2nd method अपना सकते हैं ।
